Look at the difference in these patios, it came up incredible.
Black limestone as a patio stone is slightly more difficult to maintain than other stone, because their colour fades away and becomes a dull grey. They need to be lightly cleaned and oiled every year to keep that dark rich colour.
This particular one I lightly pressure washed, then filled in any loose grout using Easyjoint Basalt and returned after 2 days to seal it using a colour enhancing impregnating sealer.
Although it looks really good in the after picture, it does have its challenges. You will most likely see footprints, dust and even muddy paw prints where you usually wouldnt notice them on sandstone or york stone patio. So from a maintenance side, you would have to mop it or spray it with a hose and use a soft broom to clean it now and again.
This would also need to be oiled or sealed every year.
Besides the maintenance, these floors look absolutely beautiful and giving it a mop evey once in a while is not such a bad thing to have a nice looking patio.
